Ingredients

  • 3 bags of red tea
  • 1 lemon - squeezed
  • ½ lemon - cut into slices
  • sugar or honey (amount depends on personal preference, I used 3-4 Tablespoons honey)
  • 2 stems fresh mint
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 3 cups cold water
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  • Add tea bags to the cup of boiled water and steep for 10 minutes.
  • Take out tea bags and add sugar or honey and stir until all grains are dissolved.
  • Transfer the hot tea in a jar or jug and add the lemon juice, lemon slices and mint leaves. Using a wooden spoon, press some of the mint leaves to help infuse tea with mint flavor.
  • Add the cold water and ice cubes and stir.
